Tonight (Friday Nov 6 8 p.m. CST) is a marvelous free orchestra concert conducted by Thomas Sundergard: MN Orch Nov 5 2026.  We saw it live yesterday at Orchestra Hall (photo above before the concert began).  The live performance will be carried on Minnesota Public Radio and Twin Cities Public Television, and  also on the Minnesota Orchestra’s YouTube Channel.

You’ll be glad you took the time.

This weeks concert was the first of three events of the Orchestras Nordic Soundscapes Festival, and the only performance to be live-streamed.  November 8 (Sunday) is a family concert “The Musical Tales of Hans Christian Andersen”.  Nov. 13 and 14, conducted by Oslo Vanska, will feature music by Danish and Finnish composers.

NOTE:

Personal comments on the Nov. 3 election will come after the last Senate and Congressional races are decided.
